2016 Art is... LAYERS OF TIME

The 2016 Art is... festival embraced the last year of our three year theme Layers of Time. The program reflected our subtheme – stories myths and legends, with a visit to the Wildman’s cave, random sightings of Fabulous Beasts roaming our CBD and surrounding towns, Tchingal: Stories of Wotjobaluk Country, author/artist talks and walking tours, visual art exhibitions and to end it all once again with a fabulous dinner at Deidre’s restaurant.

Art is... Layers of Time festival offered a total of 42 events including art and cultural works, creative workshops and professional development opportunities during and in the 8 weeks leading up to the festival. An estimated 11,843 audience participated in the program, this number includes workshops, events and rehearsals.
