.....................................................................................

Festival Manager: Gill Venn

Had attendances of 17,073 with 53 events and exhibitions. With the hiring of the Big Top as a venue many opportunities and challenges emerged.

Juggling the Elements - Community performance in a circus tent in May Park. A circus extravaganza of acrobatics, magnificent aerial performances, giant puppets, costumes, juggling, stiltwalking, drumming and music. Featuring Sydney performance and street theatre company, eRTH, working with local youth to develop performance and construction skills.

The story was based on factual history from a local farming family, giving one family member an opportunity to work with the artists to develop and create a performance around her personal story and aimed to unite the community in celebrating aspects of life, history and heritage that are real and relevant to people living within this region. It was an important collaboration between the Horsham Community and the visiting contemporary artists.

The BOXCAR - a fantastic collaboration between Horsham and BigWest and Lunar festivals in Melbourne. A project that involved young people from three communities working with Ballarat artists, RAtARTat on a travelling installation.

Other exciting events included a youth rock concert, The Sentimental Bloke, Happy Side Show, Ember Swift, jazz band, exhibitions, drama performances, minerals and gemstones, wood and patchwork workshops and exhibitions, Wearable Art performance, short story competition, poetry, films and street performances. Natimuk Frinj Festival events included "The Colony", a spectacular aerial performance by Y-Space featuring "angels" atop Natimuk silos.
