Miss K
.... A vixen in the Sun. The mercury is rising and Miss K is searching for reason. Is it The Greenhouse Effect, the apocalypse or merely the heat radiating from her knickers? As the city hits boiling point it's impossible to stay sane. The only thing that’s certain is that heads will roll.....but who's? A one-hour cabaret extravaganza with songs that soar, satire that sizzles and knitting, strangely enough.

From Woodford Folk Festival to Port Douglas’ Carnivale; Adelaide Fringe Festival back to Melbourne, Miss K has won Australia over. Come play with Miss K, you’ll have a ball. Miss K, as played by Klara McMurray.

Refugee Realities
Come and experience the reality of being a refugee through this community education experience. Installations include exhibition and soundscape spaces to replicate journeys to refugee camps. Presenters will take simulants through interactions with border guards and government officials. Within the camp, participants will be introduced to everyday life including food and water gathering, shelter building, medical care, as well as pathways to 'future homes'. The simulation ends with an action tent to inform people about what they can do to help refugees. This will particularly focus on how the Wimmera community can support refugees being resettled in our community. This is a joint project with Oxfam, Many Moons Group, Rural Australians for Refugees (Wimmera branch), and the Art is... festival.

Epi-thet
A microscope stands alone. It is lit. The viewer moves forward and as they lean down to look through the microscope, a grand 'orchestral' sound emerges. The viewer is the conductor and as they watch, the luminescent image in the microscope is a continually changing. The light on the viewer fades as the sound rises, and as the viewer moves away, the light rises in intensity again, the sound fading. Others in the space watch the conductor, and experience only the sound. Find out more here.
