Art is...tasty celebrates the diversity of ‘taste’ in our community. The festival provides an interpretation of what constitutes good or bad taste and how people feel about different genres of art, culture and ideas.

during Art is...tasty?


Date Events
Friday 27 March, from 6pm Unveiling of The Orchard in the Garden of Earthly Delight, Johnnie and the Johnnie Johnnies band, family-friendly performances.
Saturday 28 March From 12 noon: HHH broadcast from the park.From 4.30pm: local musicians Swingside and Melbourne band Don’t Mess with the Pony. Free screening of The Breakfast Club at sunset.
Sunday 29 March 11am: free yoga with the YMCA. Fun nursery rhymes, Sing Australia. 4pm: Greymatters forum, Creating the Wimmera’s Bountiful Garden, with Stephanie Alexander.
Monday 30 March 12 noon: juggling, circus and face painting workshops, clowning. 6pm: Harmony Day celebrating multi-culturalism. ‘Living books’, people tell their personal story of relocation. Bring your own special recipes to create a multi-cultural recipe book of the Wimmera. Prayer session at dusk.
Tuesday 31 March Indigenous Day: local elders and Barengi Gadjin Land Council members showcase local Indigenous food and provide cultural and education activities.
Wednesday 1 April 12 noon free activities: art work and painting.Sunset: free screening of Muriel’s Wedding.
Friday 3 April 6-9pm: Celebration of Youth and Art with music from Social Change, pro Hip/Hop artists from Adelaide and Foam Party for 12-18 years.
